The Transatlantic Bodies Project Awarded an Andrew Mellon Foundation Grant

The major milestone for the Transatlantic Bodies Project was being selected as a recipient of the prestigious Andrew W. Mellon Foundation grant, as part of their Mellon Partners in Humanities Education Faculty Collaboration Funds. This exciting achievement was in collaboration with the esteemed Vanderbilt University and the Tougaloo College (HBCU), marking a significant step forward in our aims to explore and understand the intricate connections between bodies, cultures, and scientific knowledge within a transatlantic approach.

The Transatlantic Bodies Project is about exploring the complex relationships between bodies, culture, and knowledge across geographical and historical boundaries. The grant from the Andrew Mellon Foundation played a pivotal role in propelling our project forward. Receiving the Mellon Partners in Humanities Education Faculty Collaboration Funds represented a beacon of support for our innovative and collaborative ventures. This grant not only recognizes the importance of interdisciplinary collaborations but also empowers projects like ours to make a tangible difference in the realm of digital humanities education.
